SHIPPING YOUR FLOWERS TO US

We Make it as Easy as Possible!

Flowers can be shipped within the continental USA or can be dropped off if you're local to Southern Utah. (Email for local drop off instructions.)

About a month before your date, (if you booked months ago) or as soon as we receive your order (if you booked last night, and your event is in less than a month! Eek!) We will send you a shipping packet with everything that you need, minus the box. Here are the steps:

1: Check your shipping packet for:

*The instruction page

*An overnight shipping label (if you pre-paid for one - highly recommended)

*Foam square(s)

*Rubber bands

*Plastic bag(s)

*Packing paper

*Small bouquet box

*Your personal return information page (double check your return address!)

2: ASSIGN A SHIPPING COORDINATOR: This can be you, if you anticipate a super chill day after your event (a pretty rare thing), a reliable relative, or a type "A" member of the bridal party, to oversee sending your flowers to us. While not necessary, it's helpful for us to have a picture of the bride(s) holding her/their bouquet at the event. The easiest way to do that is to have the Shipping Coordinator snap a picture on their phone and email it to preservethedate@gmail.com.

3: Keep the flower arrangements, bouquets, etc., that you want preserved in water at your event as much as possible and until they're packed afterwards.  DO NOT PUT FLOWERS IN THE FRIDGE! Home refrigerators are not made for flowers, and may damage them. If you're concerned about heat, the best thing to do is put a zipper bag filled with ice at the bottom of a box, and set your flowers (in their vase) in with it. Don't put the ice bag directly on the blooms. You can also keep them in a cooler with a couple of zipper bags of ice, or sealed ice packs.

4: When it's time to box them up, (NO LATER THAN TWO DAYS AFTER THE EVENT) follow these steps:

*Remove the arrangements from water and pat the stems dry

*Cut about an inch off the ends of the stems (not boutonnieres or pocket squares)

*Soak the foam squares in cool, clean water until they are well soaked. This might take a minute or two.

*For bouquets - Wrap the foam around the bottom couple of inches of the stems, being careful to keep blooms dry. For boutonnieres, pocket squares, or other smaller pieces, soak a piece of paper towel and wring out any excess water. Fold the paper towel to fit in a zipper bag and set the boutonniere, etc. on top of it. Seal the bag.

*Cover the foam on the bouquet(s) with a plastic bag and secure the bag ABOVE THE FOAM with a rubber band. Check for leaks and adjust if needed. This ensures that your flowers have a water source in transit.

*Pack your flowers in an appropriately sized box (not so big that they have a lot of room to move around, but not so small that they're squished).

*Stabilize any bouquet by placing it in the small box provided, and then place it into the shipping box. Surround the small box with loosely scrunched up packing paper, so that when you shake it, the flowers don't move around too much or tip over. Add boutonnieres or smaller pieces and any inserts you would like added to your preservation (Also put inserts in their own zipper bag to prevent water getting on them.)

*Add your personal return information page.

*Tape up the box, adhere the pre-paid overnight shipping label, and take to your nearest UPS shipping location. If paying for shipping in the moment, make sure you send the box overnight.

We will send you an email confirmation once we receive your flowers.

Shipping flowers to Preserve the Date is the client's responsibility. In the rare event that flowers are lost or damaged in the shipping process, we will make every effort to recreate bouquets/arrangements at an additional charge, contingent on our cost to order replacement flowers.  Unused flowers or extra inserts will not be returned.

Preserve the Date will ship the finished pieces at no charge to you.
